With Collection Kamahele Place, our Merrie Monarch 2024 Capsule, we are celebrating Ohana, Aina, and Memories with our Kamahele Place Collection. Tutu’s House Ti Leaf, hand drawn by our designer Kēhau, is inspired from the Ti Leaf that lined the road down on Kamahele Place, aka Grandma and Grandpa’s home in Puna, Hawaii island.

In Hawaiian culture, Ti leaves are considered sacred to Lono,  the Hawaiian God of fertility, and Laka, the Goddess of Hula. The ti leaves were used by priests, known as Kahuna, to ward of evil and bring in good fortune.
