    Made for an easy weekday lunch and the errands that follow. The Dress Kamele Steel Blue Liko is sleeveless with a V-neckline, wider shoulder straps, and a soft empire seam that releases into a gathered skirt ending just above the knee.

    The fabric has a small amount of stretch and falls close to the body through the top before easing into the skirt. Hidden side pockets sit in the seams. Across the dress, the Liko print runs in clustered florals and fresh shoots drawn in deep blue line work. Liko is the Hawaiian word for the tender new growth on a plant, the first leaves and buds as they open.

    Wear it with white sneakers for the day, or with leather sandals and a straw bag for the weekend. Pairs with the Menʻs Active Polo in the same Steel Blue Liko for his-and-hers moments.

    Liko
    In Hawaiian forests and gardens, liko refers to the tender new growth that emerges from a plant—a young leaf unfurling toward the light. Delicate yet resilient, it represents renewal, possibility, and the promise of what is to come.

    Our Liko Lehua print was created during a season of growth for Kahulaleʻa, as we opened our Moana Surfrider boutique in Waikīkī. Like the first leaves of a plant reaching outward after rain, it marked a new chapter filled with hope, purpose, and gratitude.

    From a Hawaiian perspective, Liko carries a deeper meaning beyond its botanical form. It symbolizes genealogy, continuity, and the generations that come after us. Just as new growth emerges from an established plant, each generation is connected to those who came before, carrying forward ʻike, values, and traditions. Liko reminds us that growth is not separate from our past—it is a continuation of it.

    The flowing forms within this print celebrate the beauty of unfolding possibilities while honoring the foundations that sustain them. It is a reminder that every new beginning, whether a journey, a dream, or a new chapter in life, starts with a single tender step forward.
